Man o' Law salutes you Officer Brandy Roell for your service although to brief by half.
A San Antonio police officer fresh from the training academy when she was shot in the back in a September 2008 ambush was given a medical retirement with a full pension Wednesday.
A room crowded with members of her graduating class and a host of other officers and department brass gathered to honor Officer Brandy Roell, who walks with a limp and relies on a cane.
Roell was ambushed, along with two other officers, as they served a felony arrest warrant on Andres Vargas at his South Side home the evening of Sept. 8, 2008.
