Foolishness

Thank you.

Really? What fool decided to apply for this?  Never mind, I'm glad the application has been withdrawn.

Lawyers will have to be remembered elsewhere
By Scott Huddleston - Express-News

The State Bar of Texas is retreating from a request by its history chairman for signage at the Alamo honoring early Anglo American lawyers.

The group's leader said he was embarrassed by reports that one of his members applied for the historical marker to be placed in Alamo Plaza.

“That's not what's important to the state bar,” said Roland Johnson, president of the group, which has 80,000 members.

Robert N. “Rob” Jones Jr., chairman of the group's history and preservation committee, filed a marker application May 4 with the Texas Historical Commission and appeared June 2 before the city's Historic and Design Review Commission.
