Testimony begins in 2006 murder trial

When police arrived at Kimberly Rogers' home Oct. 12, 2006, her blood-soaked husband greeted them crying, officer David S. Hunt testified Wednesday in 186th District Court.

But Richard Thomas Casanova's display of emotion over his wife's death was peculiar to the officer.

“I didn't feel like Mr. Casanova was sincere,” Hunt said in the first day of testimony in Casanova's murder trial. “There were no tears. He seemed like he was trying to cry.”
