The flood of '10

I fortunately did not go into New Braunfels early yesterday morning I had meetings to attend in San Antonio and I had to also take Mrs. Man o' Law to the doctor.

I think that Mr. Serebrenik deserves a medal for rescuing that poor girl.  So do all of the others who helped rescue folks from the sudden floods.

You know who you are.  Thank you and God Bless You!

One dead in Comal flooding

NEW BRAUNFELS — As predawn thunder rolled and lightning flashed, Peter Serebrenik carried a 7-year-old girl out of rising floodwaters that were rapidly swallowing his campgrounds on the banks of the Guadalupe River.

Nearly 12 inches of rain had pelted parts of Comal County overnight — a downpour that resulted in a tourist's death and left widespread damage.

After hours of falling, the rain had turned into a battering ram of muddy water that tore through this resort community and, at that moment early Wednesday, was washing away Serebrenik's River Ranch RV Park.
