Woman’s assailant sought after stabbing

Police are looking for a man who stabbed a woman Thursday afternoon before she jumped out of his vehicle and escaped.

San Antonio police Sgt. Daniel Contreras said the woman entered the man’s vehicle after meeting near a corner shop at South Presa Street and Halliday Avenue. The two stopped by a parking lot 10 to 15 minutes later, where the woman began trying to get out of the vehicle, he said.

The man stabbed her several times in the arms and torso with a sharp instrument while the vehicle was moving again. The woman finally fled and asked for help at a law firm in the 300 block of Fair Avenue.
