Six immigrants nabbed in high-speed chase
By Guillermo Contreras - Express-News

Six suspected illegal immigrants from Central America were detained Monday after bailing from a pickup that led police on a high-speed chase that ended in Schertz.

The chase, which began about 10 a.m., resulted after a Live Oak police officer returning from Magistrate Court in San Antonio saw a Ford F-350 headed north on Interstate 35 and learned that it was stolen in Harris County.

The officer tried to stop the truck, but it took off at speeds of up to 100 mph, Live Oak police Sgt. Kevin Oates said.
