A Hollywood Park resident was sentenced Friday to 10 years in prison for receiving child pornography.
Charles Gleason Witter, 60, pleaded guilty in December. His lawyer, Alan Brown, helped convince Chief U.S. District Judge Fred Biery to give Witter 10 years in prison instead of the 20 years recommended by federal guidelines. The judge also imposed a lifetime of federal supervision and ordered Witter to register as a sex offender.
Witter's plea deal said agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations found 21 videos and three images of child porn in a laptop seized from Witter's home in Hollywood Park.
