Break for commercial water users doesn't apply to resident

Because of rains in May, the Edwards Aquifer Authority is temporarily reducing its pumping restrictions on commercial and agricultural pumpers.

But with the aquifer back in a steady decline and little chance of rain in the coming week, the San Antonio Water System expects the city to stay in the current Stage 2 watering restrictions for at least the next several weeks.

With agricultural demand for water high, SAWS is asking customers to reduce their water use as much as possible to minimize the drop of the Edwards.
