Threatening letter kills con's parole chance
By Guillermo Contreras - Express-News An inmate granted parole from a sentence for theft won't be going free because he's been indicted on charges of threatening a federal judge in San Antonio.
John Wesley Manning of Houston is accused of mailing a letter telling U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia that “you are going to pay big time” for throwing out a prisoner lawsuit Manning filed.
Manning, who has a history of filing lawsuits and mailing threats, sued the Texas Department of Criminal Justice on March 16, claiming food at the Garza Unit in Beeville sickened him and other inmates.
