Portable TV's

Dang!

Good thing I can't afford one.

Police see rise in flat-screen TV thefts on the N.W. Side
Marvin Hurst - KENS 5 Eyewitness News

Forget the cash and copper, the hottest target for thieves these days in San Antonio are flat-screen TV's.

Police say virtually any place with flat screens such as furniture stores, rental businesses, restaurants and apartment complex offices have become victims.
The latest robbery happened this morning in at a Target store in the 8400 block of North U.S. 281.

According to police, a group of robbers stole three flat-screen TVs around 3 a.m. A fourth television set was dropped before they could get it out the store.
Investigators say the thieves pried a door open and in a matter of minutes and ripped off three 36 to 42-inch flat-screen televisions.

One of the burglars may have been injured during the robbery because drops of blood were found inside the store.
Police will be reviewing surveillance video from inside and outside the store for clues to the identities of the robbers.

Police have seen an increase of flat-screen TV thefts on the Northwest Side over the last three months and don't believe it is the work of one single group.
