Coke dealing gets woman 10 years
An accountant was sentenced Thursday to 10 years in federal prison for helping direct a cocaine-trafficking cell in San Antonio.
Cynthia Reyes Marroquin, 27, was convicted at trial of charges that she helped her boyfriend direct 2- to 3-kilogram shipments of cocaine a week, and prosecutor Priscilla Garcia said Reyes directed the ring when the boyfriend went to jail.
Reyes apologized to U.S. District Judge Xavier Rodriguez, noting the crimes happened in 2005, while she was transitioning from school to the real world.
