Okay then.

Woman flees from police
-

A 911 hang-up after a possible disturbance in the 100 block of G Street on Thursday led Kerrville police to arrest one woman after a chase and altercation.

Kerrville police officer Shalethea Makin arrived at the residence around 5 p.m. Thursday and saw a 31-year-old woman pacing in her front yard, wearing a bra and blue jeans.

When Makin asked if everything was all right, the woman said she did not like the police and wanted them off her property, according to a police report.

The woman reportedly smelled of alcohol and had cuts on her hands.

The woman walked away from the officer and ignored repeated requests to stop and talk. When the officer attempted to grab the suspect, she pulled away and fled into her home, according to police.

The officer followed the woman, who attempted to slam the door, ran through her home and out through the backyard of the residence and down toward the Guadalupe River. A scuffle ensued, and the woman attempted to hit the officer with her fist, according to the report.

The suspect was placed into handcuffs and told officers that a man had assaulted her earlier, but he had fled before officers arrived.

The woman was taken to jail and charged with public intoxication, evading arrest by fleeing and assault by contact. She also had two outstanding Kerr County Sheriff’s Office warrants for disorderly conduct and assault causing bodily injury.
