Only 40 years for killing a 16 year old girl in the throat by stabbing her in the throat when she tried to break up a fight he was having with his ex-girlfriend?Doesn't seem like enough time to me. of course I don't know what the jury heard to make them decide to do what they did.

Huerta, 18, was convicted of murder Thursday for stabbing Sabrina Flores, 16, in the throat on May 20, 2009, after she tried to intervene in the argument outside her friend's West Side home.
Huerta and the other girl, who was also 16 at the time, had ended their relationship about two weeks before the fatal stabbing, according to previous testimony.
