Juan Carlos Tijerina, 27, is being held at the Atascosa County Jail on one count of assaulting a public servant. He also faces two charges out of Frio County — reckless driving and evading arrest in a motor vehicle — in connection with the chase, officials said.
Tijerina's bond has not yet been set, officials said.
