Nurse charged with capital murder
Associated Press -LUFKIN — A prosecutor says a nurse accused of killing five kidney dialysis patients by injecting them with bleach violated the trust of a noble profession.
Angelina County District Attorney Clyde Herrington laid out the accusations Monday during opening statements in the trial of Kimberly Saenz.
The nurse, 38, is charged with capital murder in the April 2008 deaths and aggravated assault in the case of five other patients injured at the DaVita Dialysis clinic in Lufkin.
