18-month-old boy hit by truck
By Nolan Hicks - Express-NewsThe quiet of a residential West Side street was broken Saturday afternoon by an accident that left an 18-month-old child clinging to life at University Hospital.
The child was injured when his aunt accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake while moving a truck that the toddler was playing in front of, said San Antonio Police Sgt. David Perry.
One man, Leroy Vasquez, was driving by the house in the 900 block of Cincinnati Avenue when he heard a bang and loud screams. He pulled over and ran toward the house.
