Left behind
Someone's in a huge amount of trouble I'm sure for abandoning the cocaine.
Think of all of the cocaine that gets transported without getting caught.
Cocaine seized after driver abandons 18-wheeler
EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Authorities working a check point for drivers license and insurance violations seized 22.2 kilograms of cocaine from a tractor-trailer after the driver abandoned the truck.
El Paso County sheriff's deputies noticed the 18-wheeler pull on to the shoulder before the check point Friday evening and thought the driver looked suspicious.
Authorities said witnesses reported that the man fled the scene in a pickup truck before officers checked the semitrailer.
After the driver disappeared, police dogs were used to locate the drugs. Authorities say the investigation continues.
