Better late than never

Good job SAPD getting this case put back on track and wrapping it up.

My congratulations to Teana Williams for her perseverance and for getting this back on track.

Arrest made 17 years after mom's slaying
By Eva Ruth Moravec - Express-News

When she was 15, Teana Williams walked into her family's East Bexar County home to find out why her mother wasn't answering the phone.

She searched through the house, then stood on a table in a front bedroom to turn on a light. The room was in disarray. There was blood on the wall and the floor, and a TV was knocked over. Her mother, Kassundra, 31, was slumped against a wall, stabbed to death and wearing only a sweater.

More than 17 years after Williams' mother was brutally raped and killed, deputies Monday night arrested a former neighbor, Andra Rivers, 39, whose telephone she used to call 911 the night she found her mother dead.
