A man who was involved in two wrecks, one of which pinned him between his vehicle and another and nearly severed his legs, was hospitalized in critical condition early Saturday.
Officer Matt Porter said Matthew Garcia, 26, was driving south on Broadway Street and slowed to turn left on Natalen Street when a silver car smashed into the back of his SUV.
The driver of the car did not stop and Garcia got out to inspect the damage. That's when another car rear-ended him, pinning him to his vehicle.
