Police: Man loses laptop in weed deal
NEW BRAUNFELS — A New Braunfels man told police he was trying to purchase marijuana early Sunday at his home when the alleged would-be dealer ripped him off for his laptop computer, a police spokesman said.
The victim said he knows the thief, who made off with the computer and hasn’t been apprehended yet, said Lt. Heath Purvis of New Braunfels Police Department. No charges have been filed.
Purvis said the victim called police about 3:25 a.m., and had officers come to his home in the 100 block of Alves Lane. That’s where the man told police another man came and offered to sell him marijuana early Sunday, Purvis said.
