Officials have released the name of an infant who was found in a Northeast Side motel, showing signs of possible trauma.
Nine-month-old Jaden Sanders died around 11 p.m. Friday at Northeast Baptist Hospital, where he was taken after he was found unresponsive at the Roadway Inn, in the 1100 block of Austin Highway, according to the Bexar County medical examiner's office. The cause of his death remains undetermined, but San Antonio police are investigating it as a possible homicide.
SAPD spokesman Officer Matt Porter said police were already at the motel Friday night investigating a disturbance when a man believed to be the boyfriend of Jaden's mother called 911, summoning paramedics to the scene. An EMS officer flagged down one of the cops at the motel after seeing “possible signs of trauma on the body,” Porter said.
