The Bandera County Sheriff’s office is hunting a man who is impersonating a deputy, KENS-TV is reporting.A woman was stopped on Texas 16 by a man driving a white Chevrolet Impala labeled “Harris County” with a light bar attached, the station says. He identified himself as a law officer and tried to write her a warning ticket, but took it back when she refused to let him search her car.
The vehicle doesn’t match a Harris County deputy’s vehicle, KENS says. Anyone seeing the car is asked to call 830-796-3771.
