Good job NBPD!
Get these folks out of the parks and rest rooms.
Dang pervs, why don't they just show each other their junk and do it somewhere else?
New Braunfels police arrested four men for indecent exposure Tuesday in a Landa Park bathroom.
After police received repeated calls over several weeks about lewd behavior, a sting operation by NBPD caught the men after they each exposed themselves to undercover agents during four separate incidents.
New Braunfels residents Juan Manuel Guerra, 50, Tomas Alberto Mata, 43, Jose Luis Alvarez, 51 and 66-year-old Harold Mahan, of Nixon were all charged with indecent exposure.
Penshorn said NBPD’s Community Response Unit has conducted similar undercover operations in the city’s parks in years past, which also were successful.
“This is something we take very seriously,” said NBPD Lt. Mike Penshorn. “When you think about children being out here most of the time, it’s real important. People need to be on guard, and we as a police department need to aggressively pursue these kinds of crimes.”
Indecent exposure is a Class B misdemeanor, which is punishable by a $2,000 fine and up to 180 days in jail.
