Bexar deputy faces charges of lying to SAPD
By Eva Ruth Moravec - Express-News A Bexar County sheriff's deputy is on administrative duty after being arrested on charges of lying to San Antonio police about a hitchhiker who died after being run over on the East Side.
Deputy Clifton Bailey, 52, turned himself in Thursday at Bexar County Jail and was released hours later after posting an $800 personal recognizance bond.
Bexar County Deputy Chief Dale Bennett said Bailey has been placed on administrative duty.
