An East Central High School student's baby was delivered Thursday afternoon by the school nurse.
The student visited the nurse's office near the end of the school day after experiencing “some discomfort,” spokeswoman Stevie Gonzales said.
She delivered there at about 3 p.m. with the assistance of the school's registered nurse, Gonzales said, and mother and baby later were transferred to the hospital along with the student's family.
