24-hour Austin delicatessen closes its doors

On Sunday morning, hungry Austinites hoping for one last taste of Katz's Deli found the doors locked and a sign on the window thanking customers for their support for “32 great years.”
The 24-hour Austin restaurant closed for good Saturday night, a day earlier than anticipated.
“We ran out of food last night,” owner Marc Katz said Sunday. He said there wasn't enough food to run the restaurant on Sunday, and the rest of the stock will be donated to Meals on Wheels.
