Trinity student gets probation in DWI death
By Craig Kapitan - Express-NewsA former Trinity University engineering student who killed a friend in a drunken driving wreck two years ago was sentenced Friday to 10 years of probation.
State District Judge Sid Harle handed the sentence to Nathan Dameron after the father of victim Andreas Uribe said he didn't think prison was the best solution.
“This has been very difficult but we don't want to see another person's life ruined by going to prison,” Cesar Uribe said in a letter to the court.
