East Side shooting is city's first homicide of 2011
By Eva Ruth Moravec - Express-NewsSan Antonio police believe they know who fatally shot a 23-year-old man on the East Side Tuesday afternoon, but the suspect remains at-large.
Brian Sendejo, identified by the medical examiner's office, was pronounced dead near his home in the 2200 block of South New Braunfels Avenue around 3:30 p.m.
Police Chief William McManus said Sendejo told his parents he was going to meet an acquaintance at a nearby gas station Tuesday afternoon. He said the acquaintance is believed to be the victim's shooter, described as a man in his 20s.
