That didn't take him long to get his probation revoked.

Probation violations land former camp counselor nine-year term

KERRVILLE — The former Camp LaJunta counselor accused of sexually abusing a boy there in 2009 was sentenced to nine years in prison Friday for violating the terms of probation granted in May.

Matthew S. Bovee, 22, was initially charged with indecency and aggravated sexual assault of a child, but as jurors deliberated at his trial he struck a plea deal and pled guilty to injury of a child in exchange for a sentence of 10 years probation.

The boy, now 11, had testified that Bovee fondled him as he emerged from a shower at the camp in Hunt.
