Too young to die so early

This is why I wouldn't ride my motorcycle at night out in the Comal County hinterlands and why I'd rather not drive to San Antonio at night on the back roads in my car either.

May she Rest in Peace.

Canyon Lake woman dies in wreck after striking deer
By Ana Lee - Express-News

A woman died Wednesday night after striking a deer with her truck and careening onto the path of an oncoming vehicle along a rural Canyon Lake road.

Officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety said 34-year-old Kristine Anne Manguia was driving a 2004 Ford F-150 east along FM 306 about a half mile east of FM 2673 around 8:36 p.m. when the truck crashed into a deer. The woman lost control of her vehicle and veered into the middle of the road where she was struck by a 2002 Nissan traveling west.

The driver of the Nissan, 51-year-old James Riccio, was transported to University Hospital along with 38-year-old Andrew Michael Manguia, who was riding with the woman who died. Their conditions were unknown early Thursday morning.
