Ten Years After

Musings on this Day of Remembrance

Dear Readers,

The terrorists haven't won but there have been fundamental changes between our world pre- 9/11 and post-9/11.

I believe our security concerns have grown all out of proportion.  We do need to be vigilant but we have exchanged some of our freedoms for the pablum of a nanny-state false sense of security.

And yet, we cannot bring ourselves to "profile" and look at those who would commit jihad and instead we grope little children and check the diapers of incontinent old ladies.

The folks who lead us cannot even bring up the phrase terrorist preferring the use of the term "man-made disaster" in its place.

We cannot and should not forget what happened here 10 years ago however, we cannot forget who we, as a nation, are.

Regards,

Man o' Law
