More DWI mayhem in Bexar County

A tragedy for all concerned.

And the families had lost other members to DWI drivers in the past as well!!

But I would be surprized if the sentences are ordered to run consecutively rather than concurrently.

Youth could get total of 70 years for DWI deaths
Successive terms sought after no-contest plea.

A San Antonio youth who killed a pregnant woman and two others in a drunken-driving wreck last year faces the possibility of up to 70 years in prison after pleading no contest Thursday to multiple charges.

Paulino Cruz Jr., 19, admitted to three counts of intoxication manslaughter and one count of intoxication assault without a plea agreement in place.

That means prosecutors can ask for the maximum sentences for each count when state District Judge Ron Rangel determines his sentence next month.
