Feds sieze Mini Cooper full of Cocaine

BROWNSVILLE — Customs officials arrested a 26-year-old Matamoros, Mexico, man after finding a cocaine load valued at $1.74 million in his Mini Cooper.

The seizure occurred Thursday at the Brownsville and Matamoros International Bridge.

Officers found 22 packages of cocaine weighing about 55 pounds.

The driver and vehicle were turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for further investigation.
