He flunked the lesson....Don't point a weapon at police officers

Fortunately his weapon apparently malfunctioned when he attempted to shoot his ex-wife, who had a protective order, against him.

She is alive, he isn't.  Don't point your weapon at police officers.  Ever.

Good work New Braunfels PD!

Kidnapper pointed gun at victim, police

The Seguin man shot dead by New Braunfels police Thursday night intended to kill his estranged wife after kidnapping her, authorities said Friday.

If the man's weapon hadn't malfunctioned, he probably would've succeeded, police said.

Instead, it was Glenn Shane Godden, 39, who died after police said he pointed a loaded gun at three officers. They were responding to a call that he had forced his wife — who had a protective order against him — out of her parents' home in the 1800 block of Sunspur Road and into a van.
