Increased enforcement yields 129 DWI arrests

San Antonio police are crediting stepped-up Halloween DWI enforcement for more than 100 arrests.
Funded by a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation, SAPD implemented increased patrols for intoxicated drivers from Oct. 26 through Wednesday.
The grant paid for an additional 55 officers to be on the streets and resulted in 129 DWI arrests.
