Ex-Texas trooper convicted of stalking former wife
Associated Press -
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — A former Texas trooper faces up to 30 years in prison for stalking his ex-wife in a case where a fake online profile of the woman led men to her door expecting sex.
The penalty phase resumes Thursday in Fort Worth for Kevin Safford.
A jury late Wednesday convicted Safford of two counts of stalking and one count of online impersonation. Each count carries a maximum 10-year prison term.
