730 pounds of pot seized in Hays County

A weekend traffic stop in Hays County led to the seizure of about 730 pounds of marijuana and the arrest of a New Mexico resident on felony drug possession charges, officials said.
Terry Luna, 42, was charged after Hays County sheriff's Deputy Mark Opiela noticed an "overwhelming odor" of pot upon stopping Luna's Chevrolet Suburban near Buda on the northbound access road to Interstate 35 at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, officials said.
The investigation is ongoing. Luna was being held Tuesday on $750,000 bond at Hays County Jail.
