GALVESTON — Police are investigating two threatening messages to a well-known birdwatcher who was tried last week on an animal cruelty charge for killing a feral cat.
The messages, one by e-mail and the other by mail, threatened bodily harm to Jim Stevenson, 54, founder of the Galveston Ornithological Society, Detective Rick McCullor said today.
McCullor declined to reveal the content of the messages. The e-mail threat was received within the past few days and the threatening letter in September, he said.
