Witness tampering, bad stuff that. In classic British understatement "perverting the ends of justice". In Texas it is a felony offense, Texas Penal Code section 36.05.
Don't threaten the witnesses.

Amy Winehouse's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, was charged Saturday in a witness tampering case, Scotland Yard has confirmed to PEOPLE. Fielder-Civil was arrested by undercover police officers Thursday for allegedly attempting to manipulate a witness in his upcoming assault trial. He is being held in custody until Nov. 23.
