East Texas Judge shot, wife charged

LONGVIEW, Texas (AP) — The wife of a longtime East Texas judge has been charged with shooting him during an argument.
Gregg County Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Sam Lawson was hospitalized Sunday in critical condition.
Jail records show Ira Lawson was booked Sunday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon-family violence. Online records did not list an attorney for the woman, whose bond was set at $100,000.
