Using a toy gun to steal take-out food from a couple seems a wee bit desperate.
Toy gun bandit faces 12 years
Express-News
The decision to use a toy gun to steal takeout food from a couple
walking home from a Mexican restaurant could mean a 12-year prison term
for a San Antonio man.
Fidel Castillo Jr., 20, changed tactics halfway through his jury
trial this week, admitting he was the hungry bandit soon after
prosecutors rested their case.
Castillo, who has requested probation, is to be sentenced in May. In
exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors agreed to seek a maximum of 12
years.
