Border agents cracking down on cascarones

As Easter and Fiesta approach, U.S. Customs and Border Protection is reminding that border crossers are allowed only 10 cascarones each.

The confetti-filled eggshells also must be clean and dry and for personal use, CBP said this week in a news release.

Fines for importing undeclared cascarones can run as high as $1,000 per person and up to more than $50,000 for commercial use.
