Drunk driving can be murder

By the time Frances Rosalez Ford drove the wrong way on U.S. 281 in October 2010 with a blood alcohol level of 0.19 — ignoring frantic warnings from other motorists — court records show she was already well aware of the consequences of getting behind the wheel drunk.
She had twice before been convicted of driving while intoxicated.
Prosecutors believe that knowledge made the resulting death of motorist Lawrence Vigier Belcher, 38, more than just intoxication manslaughter. They believe it was murder.
