An off-duty San Antonio police officer who was arrested early Monday on suspicion of drunken driving has been placed on administrative duty pending the outcome of a criminal and administrative investigation, department officials said.

Jeremiah Landry Corn, 24, a two-year veteran, was stopped at 2:51 a.m. in the 2900 block of N.W. Loop 410 after an officer saw him driving erratically, according to a police report.

When the officer stopped Corn, there was an open 12-ounce bottle of beer in the inside door panel, the report said. Corn, who according to the report had watery, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, told the officer he started to drink around 12:30 a.m. and had four drinks and three shots.
