MINNEAPOLIS — Last week during a press conference, when told Kurt Warner wasn't sure of his football future, Brett Favre couldn't resist.
“So he's waffling?” Favre asked.
Favre was having some fun. But he was also reminding everyone that waiting on him last summer wasn't so awful for the Vikings. This season, he finished with the highest passer rating and lowest interception rate of his long career.
Now Favre is on to the next stage. Instead of people complaining about his waffling, they are wondering about his ever-closing window. Could today be his last chance?
