Inasanity defense?

Should be an interesting trial.

The doctor tried to settle the matter of the inappropriate behavior amicably. She was killed because of this.

Is this guy not guilty by reason of insanity?

I don't believe the jury would believe this.

Trial begins for killing of doctor

Testimony began Wednesday in the trial of a man accused of fatally shooting a prominent San Antonio physician outside her clinic and then trying to shoot the first officer to respond to the scene.

The defendant, Timothy Joseph McCloskey, 53, was rolled into the courtroom in a wheelchair, which he has been forced to use since the shootout on April 4, 2008, outside a North Side medical office, where Julie Abbott worked.

McCloskey, however, stood on his own as prosecutors read the two indictments against him, charging him with murder in Abbot's death and attempted capital murder of a police officer. Both are first-degree felonies punishable by up to a life in prison.
