New Braunfels man makes Texas’ Top 10 List
-
Law enforcement investigators are still searching for a New Braunfels man wanted by police in connection with homicide and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The man is listed on the state’s Top 10 Most Wanted list.
Police said Leeroy Suarez, 26, allegedly attacked two men, Diego and Vicente Saenz, in November 2004 at the River Park Apartments in the 200 block of Seville Drive.
Police said Suarez confronted the men in the parking lot and talked to them before returning with a knife and possibly with other people. In the ensuing fight, police said Suarez allegedly stabbed Diego to death and injured Vicente, who survived.
Suarez is about 5 feet 10 inches tall, according to police arrest records, and weighed about 180 pounds at the time of his arrest.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, law enforcement officials arrested two men on the Top 10 Most Wanted list in the past five days in Bryan and Austin. Officials arrested Joe Robert Torres in Bryan for warrants on dangerous drugs and forgery as well as failure to appear for his charges. Aaron Edward Binion was apprehended Tuesday at a home in Austin after two people called in with tips about his location. Binion had warrants out for his arrest for assault on a public servant.
Authorities urge anyone with any information about the suspect or any victims to contact Crime Stoppers by calling (830) 620-8422. Callers may remain anonymous and the Crime Stoppers program offers a reward for information.
