Note to my dear readers

Yesterday's posting in Lest we Forget, which concerned the pardoning of some FALN members convicted of plotting bombings and other mayhem, and whose group had killed several people in bombings in the New York City area in the 1970's and 1980's, drew some pretty heavy viewership to this blog.

It would appear there were more than 350 views yesterday and at least one comment concerning Clinton-bashing and politics as usual. Blah, Blah Blah.

Look, in 1999, Bill Clinton pardoned those folks DESPITE their never asking for a pardon. they had to force these folks to take the pardon. Hillary triangulated on this issue, in a preview of what would be her campign lief-motif in 2008. Find and stake out the popular position, having first supported the pardons then later after the furor arose, taking a stance against it, which her husband the president ignored when he pardoned them.

This blog isn't about politics, it is about the law, (and other issues I, and I hope you, will find interesting). The interference by Mr. Clinton, in the justice system and the pardons, which came in a state his wife was already looking at running to be the senator from. One in which she had never lived in make this a relevant topic for these times.
