Man bites dog

I sure hope for the city's sake the allegations aren't true. I would think a jury would not be pleased.

Man Sues City After Dog's Death

SANFORD, Fla. -- A man is suing the city of Winter Springs because he says police officers mistakenly entered his home and killed his Rottweiler.

William A. Riggin seeks unspecified damages in his suit, which alleges police came into his home in 2006 and shot his 3-year-old dog when the animal lunged at an officers.

Riggin -- who was showering when the officers came into the home -- said the officers went into the wrong house and wouldn't let him care for his dog Dirk after the shooting.

Riggin said he has dealt with humiliation and emotional pain since the incident.
