The end of this sad tale?

Will this be the end of this long and arduous tale of deceit and theft?

I'm sorry Michele that it ended this way for you.

Lawyer agrees to plea in embezzlement case
By Craig Kapitan - Express-News

A San Antonio attorney who has seen the inside of a jail cell multiple times in the four years since she was accused of embezzling roughly $500,000 in inheritance money from her grandmother opted Monday to forgo a felony trial — instead pleading no contest to misapplication of fiduciary property.

Under terms of the plea agreement, Michelle Lorenz Valicek, 54, could face up to 20 years in prison instead of up to life when she is sentenced in November before visiting Judge George Godwin. Her father, who inherited the money after Valicek's grandmother, 97, died last year, has agreed not to seek restitution.

Margaret Lorenz, a retired ballet instructor diagnosed with Alzheimer's, was determined by a probate court in 2006 to be the sole heir to her reclusive, childless nephew's fortune. Robert Bonner had amassed an estimated $2.38 million before he died without a will in 2005.
